“Going for the three points”
Urko, who will return to Anoeta for the first time as an Espanyol player, admits that “it will be special, but we’ll give everything to win”
On Saturday, Urko González de Zárate returns to Anoeta for the first time as an Espanyol player. It will undoubtedly be a significant match for the Perico midfielder, having come through the ranks at Real Sociedad: “It’s always special to go back to Anoeta. I spent many years there. We’ll give everything. It will be a difficult match, but we’re going to compete and we want to come away with all three points.”
In this regard, the match against Real Madrid is already behind them: “It was a shame not to get any points. We played a very complete game, but that’s in the past now. We’re looking ahead and we’re going for the three points at Anoeta,” said the midfielder.
Regarding his role on the pitch, Urko explained that “Manolo always asks me to be aggressive in the duels, to win them and to show personality on the ball.”
Finally, the midfielder highlighted the team’s performances at the start of the season: “We have to put the coach’s ideas into practice. We’ve played two good, complete matches, and that’s the path we need to follow. We have teammates with a lot of quality and we all give our maximum.”
