Urko: "We're going for the three points”
The midfielder looks ahead to the meeting with his former club
On Saturday, Urko González de Zárate will return to the Reale Arena for the first time as an Espanyol player, having come up through the ranks at Real Sociedad.
Before the game, he told the press that “It’s always special to go back to San Sebastián. I spent many years there. We’ll give everything as a team, however. It will be a difficult game, but we’re going to compete and we want to come away with all three points.”
He also expressed his disappointment with the result against Real Madrid on Matchday 2, stating that “It was a shame not to get any points, as we had a very complete game. That’s in the past now. We’re looking ahead and we’re going for the three points this weekend."
Regarding his role on the pitch, Urko explained that “Manolo always asks me to be aggressive in the duels, to win them and to show personality on the ball.”
Finally, the midfielder highlighted the team’s performances at the start of the season.
“We have to put the coach’s ideas into practice. We’ve had two good, complete performances, and that’s the path we need to follow. We have teammates with a lot of quality and we all give everything we have.”
