González: "Málaga CF will be a demanding game"
The coach looks ahead to the return of LaLiga action
Manolo González looked back on the effects of the defeat against Elche CF and also previewed this weekend's game against Málaga CF, as he gave a press conference ahead of Friday's contest in LaLiga.
"I have desire to compete and regain the feeling we had in previous matches. We need to make some defensive and offensive adjustments to find the right balance for the team," he stated.
Regarding Málaga CF, he noted, "I don't judge an opposing team based on their league standing. They are a bold team that compete well. There have been games where they have deserved much more than they've taken away. They do things the right way, and it will be a demanding game."
"Since I took over the first team, I’ve never had a quiet moment in terms of the noise that comes from outside the club. The fact that someone like Monchi has faith in my work is something that should be valued and that I should be grateful for. All I can do is keep working, find solutions, and turn around a situation that hasn't been good in the last two games. I feel good and I feel strong, and I'm convinced we can change things. It’s up to me to work like a beast."
The coach confirmed that Javi Puado has been included in the 24-man squad and that Roberto, Vanja, and Javi Hernández are fit to play following their international exploits during the past fortnight.
